Okay wow — this place seriously blew us away. We were just looking for a chill spot to grab dinner and ended up finding our new go-to. Lots of options. The vibes were relaxed, staff was super friendly, and the food came out hot and fresh. Everything tasted homemade in the best way. We left stuffed and happy. Highly recommend if you’re craving Indian food!

We went to this restaurant for a special occasion and the overall experience was amazing. The service was great and prompt. Food was fresh and delicious. Have menu choices for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian customers though menu is small, which I like. Definitely would recommend.

Bahaara Indian Kitchen absolutely blew us away. Every dish we tried was packed with flavor. Some were mild, some had a spicy kick, but all were expertly balanced and full of unique character. You can really taste the freshness of the spices, and it's great to know there are no chemical colors or additives in anything. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, with a subtle hint of incense in the air and a dining space that was impressively clean. Even the bathrooms stood out—super stylish, spotless, and they smelled amazing. Service was top notch, and one of the best parts of the night was when the executive chef personally came to our table to share his cooking philosophy. His passion clearly comes through in every bite. Portions were just right. While the plates looked modest at first glance, there was more than enough food, and everything was reasonably priced. We also enjoyed some adult beverages, and the bartender was clearly skilled—the signature sour cocktail was especially delicious. This place is a true gem. We can’t wait to come back.

Not your typical Indian restaurant -- but not quite there yet This new Indian restaurant opened its doors last week. A very aesthetically done interiors, there's freshness to this place. It's modern, upscale and well designed. We went on a Saturday at 8:30pm for a dinner, it was a little late but since the closing time was 10:00pm we thought it would be fine. The service is rather slow, we get its new but to our late realization it was not worth the wait for a food for hours. Drinks: They have a specialized drink menu and everything sounded delicious. We went with go goa gone and a cardamonk. The drinks tasted really good with exotic flavors but the alcohol was not balanced and felt light. Starters: For appetizers we went with tandoori platter. It took about 30min, the presentation is really well done. The chicken, sheek kebab, paneer tasted spot on. The chutneys were a steal. In no time we ordered the entrees and the wait starts . We literally waited 1hr for dal, a chicken lababdar and naan. Mains: Sitting in front of empty plates, killing our hunger, keeping our young children entertained, seeing people leave, it wasn't enjoyable. It made the whole experience really bad. It was honestly not worth the wait. The food was served at 10:10pm and we were offered free dessert, the owner came and spoke to us, gave his apologies. A very nice gesture and totally appreciate. But, honestly it won't give back the time and the lost experience. Lastly food is good, portion less since it's upscale, pricing higher, service slower than a snail. Unless someone has 2-3 hrs to spend waiting for food at a restaurant I would suggest to avoid till they get a hang of the crowd.

Beautiful ambience and equally tasteful food! Everything is Halal, which is super hard to find in such quality restaurant. Excellent customer service, a must visit!!

The halal chicken dishes were outstanding. The chicken seekh kabobs were truly amazing, perfectly spiced, juicy, and grilled to perfection. The chicken curries were rich, flavorful, and cooked just right, with tender pieces that melted in the mouth. Being a die-hard non-vegetarian, I was in food heaven! Every dish was a delight!! I’d highly recommend this place to anyone who loves great meat dishes.

I lived in India for many years and had the joy of exploring and appreciating the incredible depth of its culinary tradition. Last Saturday evening, July 5th, I visited the newly opened Bahaara Indian Restaurant with my family. Conveniently located near I-10 and 202, it’s a welcome addition to the area and reachable from most parts of Phoenix in under 30 minutes. We ordered a wide selection: Dal Bhukara, Chicken Reshmi Kebab, Rogan Josh, Lamb Lucknowi Biryani, Chicken Tikka Masala, and Butter Naan. Unfortunately, Rumali Roti was not available that night — hopefully, it was just a temporary supply issue. The Dal Bukhara was the highlight of the meal — rich, creamy, and full of depth. The Rogan Josh was also outstanding, with tender goat and a well-balanced, flavorful curry. The Lamb Lucknowi Biryani was excellent — aromatic, perfectly spiced, and cooked with care. Desserts were another strong point, with Kulfi Falooda, Gulab Jamun, and Phirni all delivering authentic flavors and satisfying textures. A few items, however, missed the mark: 1. The Chicken Reshmi Kebab had a smaller portion of chicken than expected, and the marination was underwhelming. The chicken lacked the softness and flavor typically associated with this dish. 2. The Chicken Tikka Masala had excellent masala, rich, balanced, and intensely flavorful. However, the chicken itself was disappointing; it seemed boiled rather than grilled, which compromised the overall authenticity and texture of the dish. 3. I ordered a Fresh Lime Soda – sweet, specifically requesting "sweet" - but was served something closer to a masala soda with cumin, not what I had requested. That said, the hospitality was exceptional. I asked the young lady at the entrance if this restaurant had any connection with the globally renowned Bukhara restaurant in New Delhi, where reservations must be made weeks in advance. She shared that her father, the chef, had worked at that very restaurant in the past. That background certainly explains the ambition behind this place. Also, one of the owners — a gracious woman in an elegant outfit — made an effort to visit each table, including ours. She warmly welcomed us and, in a wonderful gesture, gifted my daughter a Gulab Jamun to celebrate her birthday. That personal touch made the evening extra special. It’s worth noting: while prices may appear high at first glance, this is not a fast-casual or typical Indian restaurant with minimal staffing. Bahaara is dedicated to providing a fine dining experience, with a whole team working attentively to elevate your meal into a truly memorable occasion. The ambiance, service, and presentation reflect that goal, and in that light, the pricing is appropriate. Overall, despite a few inconsistencies, Bahaara shows real promise. With its ideal location, standout dishes like Dal Bhukara, Rogan Josh, and Biryani, and genuinely welcoming service, it could soon become a top destination for Indian cuisine in the Phoenix area.  Lastly, a special mention goes to the young Nepali waitress who served us — she was extremely polite, knowledgeable about the dishes, and contributed to the evening with her attentive and professional service. The service was impressively fast and well-coordinated overall. I’ll be returning today in the evening with four friends and will update this review after our second experience. I’m hopeful for more consistency and another warm welcome. Let’s see how it goes. UPDATE after my second visit (upgraded from 4 to 5 stars): Why the change? Because this time, everything was absolutely spot-on. We ordered the Tandoori Platter, Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken, Lucknowi Lamb Biryani, Rogan Josh (Goat), Rumali Roti, Butter Naan, and for dessert, Phirni and Kulfi Falooda. The Fresh Lime Soda was made sweet and without cumin, much closer to the authentic version I’m familiar with. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed every dish. Each item was flavorful, well-prepared, and beautifully presented. This restaurant is truly a gem for the area. Wishing you all the best, Bahaara!
